Untitled Series
2023 & On Going
Artist Statement
Through this on going series of works I wish to explore the celebration of the iconic Australian eucalyptus plants and trees as well as showcasing the environment's impending doom due to the climate catastrophe.
This series will be explored further throughout my 6 month Artist Residency at Inglewood Arts Hub in 2024

Artist Statement
This diptych is inspired by the decorticating process of soft barked eucalyptus/gum tree species shed their outer layers of bark revealing different shades and colours of bark beneath.
I wanted to celebrate these iconic Australian trees and showcase the beauty of the thousands of eucalyptus species across Australia.
These paintings are also a tribute of sorts to Kwoorabup, the place I grew up and the inspiration behind the initial idea.
